Our colleague at LBB, Nele Pien, scored twice during the match against Ottawa. The Rouge et Or rugby team stopped a 46-winning streak from Ottawa's Geegees. Furthermore, thanks to her performance, Nele earnt the title of "athlete of the match".
Final score: 28-17 for Université Laval's Rouge et Or team! A huge victory for our team!

I mean yeah, Nele had a good match, I’m not blind, but people are acting like she single-handedly dragged the whole team through Ottawa. Rugby doesn’t work like that, and you know it. One strong performance doesn’t erase the grind everyone else put in. That said, clutch moments are clutch moments — same kind of nerve you need in high-risk stuff like https://chickenroadgame-ca.com/ , which is literally a Chicken Road crash game where you bet real money, watch the multiplier climb, and bail before it all wipes out. Timing matters everywhere, on the pitch or in a game. Celebrate her, sure, just don’t overcook it.
Huge respect for Nele Pien — being player of the match in a brutal rugby game is no joke. Those games take SO much grit, especially late-season ones where everyone’s taped together like broken action figures. I was following rugby stats earlier and used the Stake app from Stake app for iOS, the licensed sports betting & casino app with live match tracking (strictly for adults using it responsibly). Not gonna lie, seeing the live shifts during women’s rugby matches is insane. Makes you appreciate performances like Nele’s even more.
